Our Management Team

The management team of Stepanek’s is comprised of very seasoned professionals in the automobile and customer relations businesses.  These professionals with their diverse backgrounds are responsible for the execution and implementation of our business activities and our company’s ideals.  Key management personnel are:

John Stepanek, Owner/President

John began in the family business working as a repair technician under the tutelage of his father in the late 1970’s.  With approximately 10 years experience “under the hood” and many class hours of certifications he began to buy cars for resale.  Using his own hard earned money and his knowledge about cars, he began to grow the company from a two man repair center to the sales, repair, and finance company it is today.  John’s Father, “Big John” passed away in 2000 at which point, “Little John” began to run the entire company on his own.  In 2000 there were about 20 cars in inventory and receivables in the range of $50,000.00 with approximately 4 employees.  Today we have two new locations, 80 cars in inventory, 18 employees and approximately $2.9 million in receivables.  John is married with 4 children and was born and raised here in Vero Beach.  John is a positive, outgoing, and morally upstanding person with a vision; and at only 41 years of age he is ready to take his company to the next level.

John Burton, Sales and Collection/General Manager

John comes from a customer service background being a golf professional and pro shop manager.  John was an accomplished athlete as the starting quarterback all through school, pitcher for the baseball team and still holds a P.G.A. card.  John went to and graduated college on an athletic scholarship.  John’s dad managed new car dealerships his whole life.  Through high school and college John worked part time in dealerships also.  John is married with one daughter.  He has been with the company for 6 years and has worked his way up from a salesman to general manager of the entire company.  John’s “never say die” attitude for always winning and being his best has made him invaluable to the company.

Stephanie Jacobs, Office Manager/Comptroller

Stephanie managed the tax collector’s office before coming on board at Stepanek’s in 1999.  She brought with her a wealth of knowledge on title work and dealership paperwork.  She is currently responsible for the accounting, clerical activities, taxes, payroll and human resources for the company.  Her loyalty, honesty, and dedication are irreplaceable.

Kathy Bellingham, Warranty Service & Reconditioning Manager

Kathy came to work with us is 2004.  I hired her away from St. Lucie Battery & Tire.  Kathy worked with that company for 23 years.  She was responsible for customer satisfaction, billing and receivables, managed technicians in the shop, the accounting department, and opened new stores.  She was sent to management training and continuing education courses on bookkeeping, accounting and service writing.  Kathy also received technical training for auto repair.  Kathy is very well rounded, educated and honest.  She is wonderful with customers and helps keep customer satisfaction very high. 

 Rick Wolosyn, Retail Service Manager

Although Rick has been with the company for only one year he has proven himself to be a true asset.  Rick has 45 years in the automobile industry.  He worked his way from lot boy to detail department to parts department all the way to service manager.  He has been a service writer/manager for 35 years from the Miami area.  Rick moved to Vero Beach to get away from the rat race but was not anywhere near ready to retire.  Rick has been brilliant at the service counter. His customer satisfaction level (monitored by John Stepanek) has always been superb which proves how well he is liked by our customers.  Rick has expressed his intent to stay with the company until he is ready to retire.

Frank Burton, New Location Co-Manager

Frank has been in the automobile industry for 36 years.  The first five years he spent on the sales floor.  He was moved up through the ranks where he performed as a finance manager, used car manager and as a general manager.  He was recognized because of his tremendous work ethic, honesty and attention to detail.  As you can see it is not hard to figure out where our sales and collection manager John Burton acquired these traits. 

Brandon Reynolds, New Location Co-Manager

Brandon has three years of college studying public relations.  He worked as a restaurant manager for three years then as a hotel manager for eight years.  Brandon is well trained and seasoned in customer service and satisfaction.  He is use to handling objections and always obtains a company friendly solution and customers are always kept happy.

Frank and Brandon will be at the helm of our new location in Brevard County.  With their combined experience and under the careful supervision and coaching of John Stepanek we expect great things out of Brevard County.  John Stepanek knows that having the right people in the right place is what makes a company successful.
