Stepanek’s Auto Sales & Service, Inc was founded in 1977 when John F Stepanek decided that the people of Indian River County deserved and honest and trustworthy option for servicing and maintaining their automobiles.John’s son, John Stepanek, worked part time with his father learning the repair business after school and during the summers until graduating high school in 1984.  At that time he began working full time.Stepanek’s Auto Sales & Service, Inc started out as a full service repair facility with a side line of used cars for sale.  John S. recognized the potential to grow the sales business because of the reputation which was already in place.  After a few years of retailing a small number of cars it became apparent that the market was strong for people who had credit problems or no credit at all.  So we began to offer financing arrangements “in-house”.Buy here pay here was not a new idea but we offered something the competition could not.  Fully reconditioned high quality used cars with a service department and a solid warranty to back up our products.  Stepanek’s Auto Sales & Service separated ourselves from the competition by offering:

Stepanek’s Auto Sales & Service is a member of a 20 Group managed by Leedom & Associates, a notionally recognized training and coaching organization.  We are members of FIADA, NIADA and NFIB.  We are involved with these organizations because of the continued training, assistance, and the need to be involved in our industry at all times.  We also regularly sponsor our local little league, Indian River Soccer Assoc, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, and the Shriner Circus to name a few.  Stepanek’s Auto Sales & Service recognizes the value in being involved with the youth activities of our community and the need to give something back to a community which has made us so successful.  As a result of these strategies Stepanek’s has grown and prospered.  We are now entering our 31st successful year in business.  Due to our adherence to these programs and our continued quest for new ideas and development of new programs we look forward to another 30 years of success.
